Overweight Permit
An Overweight Permit is required to haul primary weights on secondary roads within the RM of Torch River No. 488 pursuant to The Vehicle Weight & Dimension Regulations, 2010. Permits may be issued depending on time of year and road conditions. Please contact the RM office for more information.
Road Maintenance Agreement
The purpose of a Road Maintenance Agreement (RMA) is for the municipality to recover the incremental costs that occur above regular maintenance costs due to the increased pressures of heavy or frequent hauls.
Haulers operating in the RM of Torch River must sign a Road Maintenance Agreement each year. If a hauler does not comply, the RM may apply to the Municipal Board to place a stop work order on that hauler. When an Agreement has been signed, stickers will be issued for each of a hauler's trucks.
